It is commonly known that winners of various competitions often deal with the fact that the payment of the cash grants takes a prolonged period of time after the competition completion. In the case of Dombyra-Dastan competition, the laureates received the monetary funds won in full within a month.
We asked the winners how they would spend their prizes. So, Nurdaulet Sagatbek, the winner of the Grand Prix from the senior group decided to buy an apartment for his parents. Due to a severe disease - rheumatoid arthritis with an eye damage - the boy is visually impaired since birth. A long while ago, parents have sold housing to return the opportunity to see to their son, but the treatment did not give any results. Despite the disease, Nurdaulet from the age of seven became interested in playing dombra. And in our competition he showed the highest level of technical mastery. A talented dombrist dreams of becoming a famous composer in the future.
The outstanding talent of the winner of the Grand Prix in the younger group Ayana Dauletbay, who lives in the Asa village, Jambyl Region, will also allow her family to improve housing conditions. Moving to the regional center will allow the girl to be developed further and continue her studies in a professional musical institution.
Thus, the unprecedented prize fund of the Dombyra-Dastan competition in the amount of 40,000,000 KZT has become not only a high assessment of the giftedness of young dombrists, but has led to a qualitative change in the lives of children and their families.
