Training of Children's Doctors

The republican project “Emergency Pediatric Surgery” was launched by the Saby Foundation in 2018  in order to improve the quality of medical services of children in Regions of Kazakhstan. Within the framework of the project, Departments of Emergency Pediatric Surgery were opened in the cities of Almaty and Semey. We are currently working on organizing the Department of Emergency Pediatric Surgery in the city of Aktau. The next in line is the city of Petropavlovsk.

In order to ensure that the professional training of Doctors fully corresponds to the level of availability of the built surgical units, the Foundation organizes and finances workshops and upgrade training courses involving the best specialists of Russia and Kazakhstan.

So, this month, the Foundation sent three Pediatric Surgeons and one Traumatologist to study in the city of Moscow. Specialists working in the Departments of Pediatric Surgery of the cities of Almaty and Semey take upgrade training courses under the guidance of Yuri Sokolov, Honored Professor at the Russian Medical Academy of Continuing Professional Education.  All expenses connected with the flight, accommodation and meals of Doctors are fully paid by the Foundation.

The monthly course includes obtaining theoretical, practical knowledge and skills, as well as direct participation in complicated medical operations in order to apply the gained experience to treat and save the lives of children of Kazakhstan.
