The President of Saby Charitable Foundation, Assel Tasmagambetova, paid a working visit to the Meyirim Youth Social Adaptation Center in Aktobe.
This unique center, built by our Foundation at its own expense a year and a half ago, has no analogues in Kazakhstan. The primary targets of this institution include socialization, rehabilitation and provision of employment to graduates of orphanages, with particular attention to children with disabilities. The center did not become another hostel for pupils - it is a complex of townhouses, where young people live in separate apartments, running home by themselves. There is a sewing workshop, a shoe-repair shop, greenhouses and a flower shop, a beauty salon, an assembly hall and a remedial gymnastics room for organizing the training and production process at Meyirim.
The purpose of the business trip is to learn how the scheme of social adaptation of youth created in the institution functions today. The visit included several working meetings of Assel Tasmagambetova with the director of Meyirim, Zh.S.Dyusenbina, curators and partners of the center, as well as representatives of the akimat and the department of education of the city.Discussions involved the issues of efficiency of the existing system, followed by recommendations for its improvement and adoption of a joint plan of further actions.
It is good to note that the guys welcomed the management of the Foundation with open arms. Assel Imangaliyevna personally visited the pupils’ apartments, where they shared their successes and plans at warmheartedtea party.
The next trip to Aktobe is scheduled for the next year.
