Results of the contest Build Your Business 2017-2018

Yesterday in Almaty in the Coworking Center SmART.Point the winners of the Fifth Anniversary Contest Build Your Business 2017-2018 were announced! The winners and guests, as well as the finalists of all previous years, attended the awards ceremony.

For 5 years, the Saby Charitable Foundation has been provided young Kazakh entrepreneurs a realistic chance to demonstrate their ideas or developed projects and to receive financial support for the implementation and promotion of their business.

This year, 393 applications were considered, 26 of which were included in the shortlist. After studying business plans, and then presentations, personally presented by the contestants at the meeting with the organizers, the commission selected 10 finalists, whose projects were recognized as the best.

As always, there were pleasant surprises: the founders of the contest added two social projects to the main list of finalists, implemented by people with disabilities.

As a result, this year’s prize fund amounted not to $ 200,000, as expected, but to $ 260,000, and became the largest in the history of the contest.

- Since 2013, 1667 applications have been accepted for participation in the contest,

- Total number of finalists of the project - 41,

- Total amount of grants paid is $ 1, 070.000,

- For 5 years of the contest about 100 people were employed,

- The geography of the contest covered all regions of Kazakhstan.
