The Saby Foundation has completed the overhaul of three SOS family houses in the Children's Village of Almaty. Despite the large volume of work during the period of intensified fight against the coronavirus pandemic, we did not abandon our obligations and continued work to improve the living conditions in the Children's Village.
As in previous times, we completely renewed the heating system, water supply and sewerage utilities, installed new plumbing fixtures, replaced linoleum, tiles, wallpaper, changed doors, purchased new lamps, restored windows, refreshed facades and laid out paving stones around the cottages. Kitchen sets and furniture were also made to order. New household appliances were purchased: hobs, hoods, ovens and washing machines.
Thus, to date, already seven renovated and furnished cottages are completely ready for a cozy and comfortable living for children left without parental care. We plan to complete the renovation of the remaining three houses next year.
