Robotics Center for the city of Semey

Today, the Saby Foundation opened the Robotics Center in Semey. A new modern class with the most innovative equipment will work for all the children of the city on the basis of the Palace of Children and Youth Creativity.

The official event was attended by the President of the Saby Foundation Aselle Tasmagambetova, the co-founder of the Foundation Kenes Rakishev, as well as Akim of the Abai region Nurlan Urankhaev.

This is the third Center launched by the Foundation as part of its program to support educational institutions in Kazakhstan. New robotics classrooms have already been opened at school-gymnasium No. 174 in Almaty and school No. 7 in Petropavlovsk. All classrooms work for children free of charge.

“According to Market Research Future, the global robotics market will grow at 22.8% annually and is expected to reach $214.68 billion by 2030. The Saby Foundation has been implementing charitable projects in the regional cities of Kazakhstan for over 20 years, and we see how many gifted children and talented teachers we have. This gives us reason to believe that the Robotics Centers will be in demand, and the project will have a good result,” said Aselle Tasmagambetova.

The head of the Abay region, Nurlan Urankhaev, also noted the importance of involving children in new technologies: “Thanks to such support from patrons, many children have the opportunity to gain knowledge in the scientific and technical field, the innovation industry. The opening of a new digital center in Semey is relevant and timely for the children of our region, because robotics is one of the most promising areas of the future. We are happy and ready to cooperate on all projects that help children gain new knowledge and realize their potential.”

The center in Semey is equipped with modern interactive technology, educational kits "Internet of things", "Amperka", "Matryoshka", basic and resource kits Lego, ArduOne, a 3D printer, sensors, robots and other innovative equipment for schoolchildren from 1 to 11 classes. A major overhaul has been made, new ergonomic furniture has been installed.

Total area - 75 sq. m. The cost of the project was 27,000,000 tenge.
