The Saby Foundation traces its history of holding large-scale fundraising events to 2008. Over the years, the foundation has organized charity exhibitions and auctions with the support of the legendary house of Christie’s in London and New York, and charity evenings in Kazakhstan with such famous world brands as Dior, Messika and Damiani. The funds collected were used in full to implement the foundation’s social projects.<\/p>\n
Yesterday in Almaty a charity evening was held by Saby and Bvlgari jewelry and watch house, funds from which in the amount of 53,000,000 tenge, will be transferred for the purchase of high-tech medical equipment for surgical departments opened by the foundation as part of its Emergency Pediatric Surgery project.<\/p>\n
This is the third joint Saby&Bvlgari fundraising event. Thus, in 2021, an exclusive charity evening and auction was held with the participation of Gennady Golovkin, Andrei Zvyagintsev and Zubaira Tukhugov. The proceeds – 210 million tenge – were used for the construction of emergency pediatric surgery in the city of Petropavlovsk. In 2022, the jewelry house and the foundation organized a charity evening and concert of opera diva Khibla Gerzmava, funds from which in the amount of 115 million tenge were donated for the construction of an emergency pediatric surgery in the city of Atyrau.<\/p>\n
“Children’s injuries in all its manifestations rank second in the structure of morbidity in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Therefore, timely first aid is not only a life saver, but also a real chance for a person to further return to full activity. This is especially true for regions where, in addition to the need for technical equipment for hospitals, there is an acute shortage of personnel and an outflow of specialists. Therefore, our project does not just involve the construction and equipping of medical institutions, but is systemic in nature. We organize master classes for doctors with the best medical specialists, and help with the acquisition of innovative equipment to expand research. We are inspired when, at the opening of a new surgical block, we see how the eyes of young doctors light up, who will now be able to work in their hometown using modern technologies,” Aselle Tasmagambetova, President of the Saby Charitable Foundation.<\/p>\n
Since 2018, the Saby Foundation, as part of the Emergency Pediatric Surgery project, has built pediatric surgery departments in cities such as Almaty, Semey, Aktau, Petropavlovsk and Atyrau. The total cost of the project in 5 cities amounted to 1 billion 636 million tenge.<\/p>\n
