The Dos platform unveiled a series of new initiatives designed to strengthen the nonprofit sector through education, partnerships, and professional dialogue.<\/p>\n
One of the key initiatives presented was Dos Academy<\/em> \u2014 an online school tailored for nonprofit professionals. The program aims to build core competencies by providing access to knowledge, practical experience, and best practices in the field.<\/p>\n As part of the Academy\u2019s launch, prominent experts and NGO leaders shared their insights and personal journeys in the development of philanthropy in Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n Aselle Tasmagambetova<\/strong>, President of the Saby Foundation<\/em>, highlighted the importance of the initiative:<\/p>\n \u201cFirst and foremost, I would like to congratulate you on the launch of this online platform for NGOs. It represents a truly significant step forward for the entire third sector. I was pleased to accept the invitation and gladly recorded a lesson \u2014 because I know just how vital a space like this is today, where knowledge, experience, mistakes, and discoveries can be openly shared.<\/em><\/p>\n When we founded the Saby Foundation 23 years ago, there was little understanding of how to operate in this socially critical field. There were no platforms, no guidelines, and no recognition. We had to start from scratch. We truly learned everything \u2014 how to build emergency pediatric surgery centers, how to implement inclusive practices, and how to design schools. We learned in order to serve.<\/em><\/p>\n From the Foundation\u2019s experience, I can say that the most essential skills include systems thinking, a project-based approach, the ability to listen, and the capacity to build meaningful partnerships. Just as important are knowledge of legislation, fundraising, cooperation with government institutions, and digital literacy.<\/em><\/p>\n But none of this is possible without an internal drive to keep learning \u2014 because reality is constantly evolving. If we want to change lives, we must be willing to change ourselves.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n The second part of the program centered around trust<\/em> \u2014 a fundamental component for sustainable collaboration between NGOs, business, and the public sector.<\/p>\n The event concluded with the presentation of YRYS<\/em>, a new fundraising platform offering transparent and accessible tools to help mobilize resources for charitable initiatives in Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n After a rich exchange of ideas, participants continued informal conversations \u2014 sharing reflections, exploring plans, and identifying opportunities for future collaboration.<\/p>\n This day marked an inspiring point of connection \u2014 for those dedicated to creating positive change in society.<\/p>\n
